Connect a payment account before you sell paid memberships, subscriptions, resources, services, or access through Coralbeat.
Coralbeat uses Stripe to process payments securely. During setup, Stripe collects the account and verification details needed to accept charges and send payouts. Coralbeat then uses the completed connection to enable paid options inside your community.
You do not need to connect a payment account if your community is free.
Before you start
You can sign in to an existing payment account or create a new account during onboarding.
Have the following details ready:
- The country where you or your business operates
- Your business type
- Personal details for the person responsible for the account
- Business details, such as industry and website or product description
- Bank or payout details, if required
The information required can vary by country, business type, and account requirements.
Connect payments from Coralbeat
- Sign in to Coralbeat as a leader or admin.
- Open Settings.
- Go to Memberships.
- Choose Connect Stripe.

Coralbeat opens a secure onboarding flow with Stripe. From there, sign in to your existing account or create a new one.
Complete payment account onboarding
The onboarding flow guides you through account setup. The exact order can vary, but the main steps are usually similar.
1. Choose your business type
First, choose where your business operates and what type of business you run. For example, you may see choices such as individual, sole trader, company, nonprofit, or another registered business type.

Choose the business type that matches how you will collect payments. If you are not sure, check your legal or tax setup before continuing.
2. Add personal details
Add personal details for the person responsible for the payment account. This can include your legal name, email address, date of birth, home address, and phone number.

These details are used for identity verification, account safety, and legal or regulatory requirements.
3. Add business details
Next, add details about how you earn or collect money with Coralbeat. This can include your industry, your website, or a product or service description.

Use the website where you sell or promote the paid membership, subscription, resources, services, or access. If you do not have a website, you may be able to add a product or service description instead.
4. Add payout details if required
Depending on your country, business type, and account requirements, you may need to add a bank account or payout details before the account can receive earnings.

Payout details are managed by Stripe. If more information is requested later, complete that request in the onboarding flow or your Stripe dashboard.
Confirm the account is connected
After the payment account is ready, return to Coralbeat. In Settings > Memberships, Coralbeat shows that the account is connected.

Once the account is connected, Coralbeat lets you configure and publish paid membership tiers.
If onboarding is not complete
If onboarding is not finished, Coralbeat may show Continue Stripe Onboarding. Use that button to return to the setup flow and provide any missing information.
Paid tier controls may stay disabled until the payment account has the information required to accept payments.
What Coralbeat uses the connection for
Coralbeat uses the connected payment account to enable paid experiences inside your community.
Once the account is ready, Coralbeat can:
- Let you create and publish paid membership tiers
- Let members subscribe through your Coralbeat experience
- Check whether your community can accept payments
- Keep payment setup connected to your community
- Keep Coralbeat platform fees separate from external payment processing fees
Coralbeat does not replace the payment account, verification, or payout dashboard.
Where payouts and account details are managed
Payouts, payout bank details, identity verification, and payment account requirements are managed in Stripe.
If more information is needed, finish that request in Stripe onboarding or your Stripe dashboard. Coralbeat shows whether your payment account is connected and whether paid tiers can be enabled.
Next step
After payments are connected, create or update your membership tiers. You can add names, descriptions, pricing, and visibility rules for each tier.
Members will see the paid options in your Coralbeat experience when those tiers are published and visible.
